About Karen Bowe
I am a Branch Manager in EBS Portlaoise, with many years of experience in financial services and working as a mortgage advisor. Whether you are a first-time buyer, mover or switcher, or thinking about a new build, self-build, or holiday home, I would love to talk to you about an EBS mortgage. I genuinely love what I do. Helping customers through the full mortgage process — from the first conversation to the final drawdown — is incredibly rewarding. I focus on keeping everything clear and manageable, breaking the process into simple steps so customers always feel supported and never overwhelmed. My aim is to be a steady guide throughout, making sure people know exactly what is happening and what comes next.
Seeing customers move into their dream home is the highlight of my job. I grew up in Portlaoise, and I'm proud to support my community through local chambers and sports involvement.
I'm a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA), professionally trained and accredited to provide mortgage advice you can trust, and I also hold APA qualifications. With my experience and friendly, approachable style, I aim to bring clarity, reassurance and genuine care to every customer I work with.
